A video has gone viral on social media showing a woman’s experience with a Rapido rider who allegedly contacted her on WhatsApp after completing a ride.
The post, shared by Instagram user Anushka, has raised concerns over user privacy and rider conduct. According to her account, the rider messaged her on WhatsApp after dropping her at her destination and initiated what she described as a “strange” conversation. She also shared screenshots of the chat to highlight the interaction.

The post quickly gained traction online, with many users questioning how the rider accessed her mobile number and expressing concerns about data privacy on ride-hailing platforms.

Rapido’s Response
Responding to the viral post, Rapido addressed the issue in the comments section and termed the behaviour unacceptable.
The company wrote, " Hi, we sincerely apologize for the captain’s unethical behavior. This is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the service standards we aim to provide. Please share your registered mobile number and ride ID via DM so we can investigate this on priority and take strict necessary action."
