Monalisa and Farman tied the knot on March 11 at the Nayanar Temple in Kerala. Monalisa, who came to the limelight after the Kumbh Mela, has reportedly been facing opposition from her family over the marriage. However, the couple has decided to take their relationship further and has tied the knot in Kerala.

According to the India Today report, Farman Khan belongs to the Baghpat district of the state of Uttar Pradesh. He works as an actor and a model. He has acted in various language films, including Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil.

The couple is said to have met during the muhurat ceremony of a Malayalam movie called Nagamma, directed by P Binu Varghese. Farman Khan plays the role of an antagonist in the movie, whereas Monalisa plays the role of the lead actress. Monalisa got famous after a video of her selling Rudraksha beads at the Kumbh Mela went viral.

Couple Sought Help Before Marriage

Before the wedding, Monalisa and Farman are said to have contacted the police in Kerala and requested their assistance. Monalisa and Farman went to the police station with a film crew that Monalisa was working with. Monalisa told the police that she wanted to stay with Farman and get married to him despite the opposition from her family. Monalisa is an adult, and as such, she has the right to make her own decisions regarding her life and marriage.

The wedding ceremony was attended by various political personalities like V Sivankutty, MV Govindan, and AA Rahim. In his speech during the event, AA Rahim mentioned that marriage is a symbol of social harmony. He also mentioned that according to the Indian Constitution, people of different religions are free to marry anyone of their choice.
