Lockdown OTT Release: The wait for the digital debut of the Tamil drama thriller Lockdown is finally over. Starring Anupama Parameswaran, the film has officially arrived on OTT platform after a challenging journey to the screen. Directed by debutant AR Jeeva and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions banner, the movie offers a gritty look at life during the pandemic.

Where To Watch Tamil Movie Lockdown Online?

The makers of the film have officially confirmed that Lockdown began streaming on March 11, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video. Following its theatrical run, the movie is now available for a global audience. To cater to a wider viewership, the film has been released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.Fans had been waiting for this digital release ever since the film's premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India in Goa back in November 2025.

Meanwhile, the Tamil film was originally meant to be released in cinemas in December 2025. however, it faced several setbacks. Heavy rains and flooding caused by Cyclone Ditwah forced the producers to postpone the launch. After further unforeseen delays, the movie finally hit the silver screen on January 30, 2026. Despite the hype surrounding Anupama Parameswaran's performance, the film received mixed to negative reviews from critics during its theatrical window.

Tamil Movie Lockdown Plot, Cast And Other Details

The story is set during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It follows Anitha, played by Anupama Parameswaran, who is the eldest daughter in a very traditional and conservative family. Her life is turned upside down following a traumatic event, and the strict government restrictions mean she must process her emotional pain in total isolation.

Lockdown features an impressive supporting cast, including, Charle as Suresh, Nirosha as Sudha (Anitha’s mother), Priya Venkat as Swapna, Redin Kingsley and Lollu Sabha Maran The technical team is led by debut director AR Jeeva, with music provided by N R Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin.
