Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal has come into the spotlight after reports of a serious threat call allegedly linked to gangster Goldy Brar. The incident gained attention after political leader Sukhbir Singh Badal shared an audio clip on social media. The development has raised concerns about the singer’s safety and sparked a larger debate around law and order in Punjab.

Alleged Threat Call To Gippy Grewal Surfaces Online

The controversy started when Punjab’s former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal posted an audio clip on social media platform X. In this audio clip, a person had claimed to be Goldy Brar, and while speaking, had issued a warning to Gippy Grewal. In this audio clip, there was a threat to the singer, where the man had mentioned that if Gippy Grewal will ignore the message, then there would be serious consequences. A strong statement was made, indicating that Gippy would not be able to "count the bullets" if he did not comply.

Warning Linked To Upcoming Film

The voice note also reportedly mentioned Gippy Grewal’s upcoming film Akal, which has already been facing criticism. The alleged caller hinted that the threat was connected to the project, adding another layer of concern around the situation. This has further intensified discussions online, with fans expressing worry over both the film and the singer’s safety.

Political Reaction And Law & Order Debate

The incident has been strongly reacted to by Sukhbir Singh Badal, who has also raised questions regarding the law and order situation in the state of Punjab. There are also concerns regarding the safety of public figures. The current administration headed by Bhagwant Mann has been criticized. In his statement, it has been mentioned that such threats show the security gaps in the state.

Security Concerns Raised

The leader of Akali Dal also accused the government of withdrawing Gippy Grewal’s security in the past. He related this matter to previous incidents and warned that if anything untoward happens to the singer due to inadequate security arrangements, then it is the state leadership’s responsibility.
