Sonam Kapoor revealed on Saturday that she and Anand Ahuja have named their second son. The Bollywood actor also chose to highlight the deeper, spiritual significance of the name along with a glimpse into her expanding family. She introduced her second son, Rudralokh Kapoor Ahuja. He was born on March 29, 2026.
Sonam Kapoor shared a family portrait to announce the name of her son, emphasising the name's spiritual significance and its relationship to their first child, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. She continued by outlining the meaning behind the name.
Sonam Kapoor And Anand Ahuja's Second Son Name Meaning
According to Sonam Kapoor, Rudralokh Kapoor Ahuja is a strong, transformational element connected to storms, breath, healing, and renewal. "In the Vedas, Rudra (रुद्र), from the root rud, 'to roar', is the mightiest of the mighty. The one who eradicates suffering at its source, the divine force behind storms, breath, healing, and renewal," she wrote.
Sonam Kapoor also emphasised the connection between her sons' names, pointing out that Rudra stood for strength and change, and Vayu for life force. "He is deeply connected to Vayu, the prana that moves through all beings. Our firstborn carries the name of Vishnu, the sustainer of life. With Rudra, a sacred continuity emerges. Breath and power. Preservation and transformation. One strengthening the other," she added.
