Pati Patni Aur Woh Do teaser is finally out, offering a glimpse into a chaotic romantic tale filled with confusion and tangled relationships. Led by Ayushmann Khurrana, the movie also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi. However, the promo has sparked strong reactions online, with many criticising it for seemingly glorifying infidelity and reinforcing dated gender stereotypes. While some viewers are curious about the film’s take, a section has raised concerns over its impact.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do teaser opened to a voiceover from BR Chopra's 1988 television series Mahabharat, 'main samay hoon'. Glimpses of Sanjeev Kumar from the 1978 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday in the 2019 modern adaptation of the same name, were all revealed in it. The voiceover described a 'universe' of men, often known as a 'Pativerse', and claimed that although things change with time, a husband's 'nature' never does.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Teaser Reaction
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do teaser opened to strong reactions from netizens. Many called out the makers for justifying cheating, while others slammed the actors for agreeing to do such movies. One of the many users commented, "Can we move on from this stupid maker's obsession with multiple wives and affairs. Like, jeez, not funny." Whether it’s cheating, alpha-beta male dynamics, or toxic relationships, everything is packaged as humorous or glamorous."

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is the spiritual follow-up to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which starred Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar. Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vishal Vasistha, Guneet Singh, Durgesh Kumar, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Shireesh Kumar Sharma, and Deepika Amin play supporting roles in the spiritual sequel.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is directed by Mudassar Aziz, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, and creatively produced by Juno Chopra. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar, B R Chopra, and T-Series. On May 15, 2026, the romantic comedy drama is scheduled to open on the big screen.
Films that show cheating as comedy make a serious issue look normal. Lines like 'patiyon ki fitrat' turn infidelity into a joke instead of addressing its impact. Bollywood needs to be more careful, as such portrayals can send the wrong message and make unhealthy relationships seem acceptable.
