David Dhawan’s latest romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is witnessing a steady response from moviegoers during its opening weekend. Featuring Varun Dhawan in the lead role alongside Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, the family entertainer has managed to attract audiences across multiplexes and single-screen theatres since it's release on June 5, 2026. The film is benefiting from weekend footfall, helping it maintain a decent pace at the domestic box office despite facing competition from other releases.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Strong Opening Day Performance

The movie began its theater run with a good start. It managed to generate an India net collection of Rs 7.5 crore in its first day by screening in over 9,000 theaters across the nation as per Sacnilk report.

The movie also collected Rs 9 crore in its gross collection in India on its first day. The movie was decently successful even abroad, earning the movie approximately Rs 2 crore. This took the worldwide gross collection of the movie to Rs 11 crore on its first day in theaters.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Day 2 Collections 

On its second day, the romantic comedy showed 8,800 plus screenings in theatres all around the nation. The total collections of the movie were Rs 7.25 crore net on Saturday.

The figures were somewhat lesser than its opening day collections, but the fall was insignificant. In two days, the total India net collections had risen to Rs 14.75 crore, whereas the total India gross collections stood at Rs 17.70 crore.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Day 3 Live Box Office Update

According to Sacnillk report, based on initial projections, so far the net collection of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai amounts to Rs 4.43 crore on Day 3 (June 7, 2026) of its release. The movie is being shown at a total of 5,191 shows in India.

With the new data added, the net collection in India for this movie stands at Rs 19.18 crore, while its gross collection is at Rs 22.93 crore in India. 

Final Day 3 numbers are still awaited, and the film is expected to benefit further from evening and night show audiences before the weekend concludes.
