Namita Thapar, an entrepreneur, Shark Tank India judge, and executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, posted a video in March outlining the health advantages of Namaz. Following the post's outrage, she has now reacted to the criticism, clarifying her position and disclosing that she has been the target of harassment for the last three weeks.

Namita Thapar posted a video on X (previously Twitter) and Instagram on Monday in response to the criticism directed at her Namaz video. She disclosed that she has been the target of disparaging remarks for almost three weeks, and trolls have also included her mother in the harassment.

Namita Thapar pointed out that she has previously discussed Hindu customs, such as yoga and Surya Namaskar, without inciting the same level of fury. She questioned why there is 'selective outrage' and questioned the inconsistency.

Namita Thapar said, "Peeche teen hafte se mujhe log r***i bula rahe hain non stop aur meri darling mom ko bhi gande gande naam de rahe hain for what? For making a reel on health benefits of Namaz? I am a healthcare professional. Maine itne saare Hindu religions par reel banayi hai, unke health benefits par...har Yoga day pe asanas, specially Surya Namaskar ke reels banati hoon, tab toh kisi ne kuch nahi kaha."

Namita Thapar discussed the health advantages of namaz in the aforementioned video. She defined it as a full-body workout that increases blood circulation, strengthens joints and knees, and increases flexibility. She added that because it is repetitive and meditative, it is good for mental health. However, several social media users slammer her for talking about health advantages of Namaz.
