Realme Neo 8 has leaked one more time to suggest when the phone may launch and what we can expect from it. The Realme Neo 9 is believed to be the successor to the Realme Neo 7, which was announced in December 2024. Although nothing official has been shared by Realme, many leaks now suggest the company will launch V15 under a different name in China early next year and will bring it to global markets.
Realme Neo 8 Launch Date and India Rebrand (Expected)
Like the challenge last year, this time also you will get to rerun for a week. According to the tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) on X, Realme Neo 8 is said to launch in January 2026 in China. The leak also indicates the same device may come to India and other international markets as the Realme GT 8 later this year.

That falls in line with Realme’s strategy so far, where the GT 7 series launched worldwide in May 2025, a couple of months after it did so in China. If this pattern continues, in India, users should hopefully see the GT 8 by mid-2026.

Realme Neo 8 Specifications (Leaked)
There are a few flagship features also found in these leaks, which makes sense, as the Realme Neo 8 is expected to be a performance device.
The phone is rumoured to be fuelled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC alongside LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. In the display department, it may sport an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The battery situation is a particularly attractive feature. Realme Neo 8 is said to come with an enormous 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging. If true, that would make it one of the largest batteries on a mainstream flagship-grade phone to date.
Other speculated features of the device include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, an X-axis linear motor to improve haptics, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The phone is also rumoured to offer an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
Display and Camera Details
The Realme Neo 8 has been reported to feature a 6.78-inch LTPS flat display with a 1.5K resolution, but the news came from a report last month. The phone is likely to come up with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. We've not yet seen further camera details.

How It Fits Into Realme’s Current Lineup
Realme recently unveiled their Realme GT 8 Pro smartphone in India at an affordable starting price of Rs 72,999. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, featuring a QHD+ AMOLED display capable of supporting 144Hz refresh rate refresh rate, and featuring three rear cameras led by one 50-megapixel main sensor, this phone offers plenty of features and options.
If the Realme Neo 8 becomes available internationally as the Realme GT 8, it would sit below its Pro model to offer high performance and battery life at a more attractive price point.
At present, all details remain unofficial, though more information should become available closer to January 2026's launch window.
