Modern Dating Problems: In today’s fast-moving world, relationships are becoming more complicated than ever. Even though love and companionship remain important, couples often struggle to maintain strong emotional connections, and this can impact their relationship. Numerous factors, like constant work pressure, extended working hours, hectic schedules, and continuous exposure to digital devices, have reduced the time and attention partners give to each other. As a result, even stable relationships can start to feel distant or strained over time.

Why Do Relationships Feel Harder In Modern Times?
1. Lack Of Quality Time
Couples avoid spending quality time with each other. They tend to be constantly on their phones, scrolling through reels, or thinking of work or deadlines. This leads to stress, anxiety, and even loneliness.
2. Unrealistic Expectations Due To Social Media
Another issue is unrealistic expectations that are influenced by social media, where relationships tend to appear perfect and happy. So, this can also lead to pressure when it comes to real-life relationships.
3. Communication Gap
There is also a communication gap as many are unable to express their feelings openly, leading to misunderstandings.
4. Fear Of Abandonment And Rejection
Past experiences of rejection and abandonment can affect relationships and can be overwhelming for couples. These experiences can lead to withdrawal or even excessive attachment.
5. Financial Problems
Financial problems and different life priorities can further add to these challenges, and then the relationship often gets impacted and compromised.
According to Ms Kruti Sharma, Corporate Trainer, Leadership Coach, POSH and AML Expert, “Couples should focus on building a healthier relationship, make sure that there is a free flow of communication. Try to share how you feel, listen to each other, and offer support. Infertility is also common nowadays. So, have transparency in relationships. It is also important to set realistic expectations and accept that no relationship is perfect. Couples can also seek help if needed.”
