- Three arrested for using forged government ID at Jio World Plaza.
- Man claiming PMO official, armed bodyguard detained at BKC.
- Police clarified incident not directly linked to PM Modi's event.
Mumbai Police has arrested three individuals after they used forged government ID to bypass security at the Jio World Plaza in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) on Monday. The police also clarified that the incident has no connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled event in the area on Tuesday, as reported earlier.
Three Arrested
The clarification comes after a senior police official stated that a 24-year-old man, claiming to be a PMO official, and his armed ''bodyguard'' had been detained at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in BKC hours before PM Modi's event on Tuesday evening. According to Mumbai Police, the three individuals tried to gain entry into the shopping mall located in the commercial district on Monday. When security staff stopped them, the men allegedly produced a suspicious-looking government identity card, argued with the guards, and forced their way inside.

Following a complaint by mall officials, the BKC Police registered a FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections related to ''impersonating a public servant'' and ''unlawful entry while armed with a deadly weapon''. The three individuals were subsequently traced and arrested by the Mumbai police.
"The incident took place on Monday at the shopping plaza. It was an isolated breach, and we have confirmed that the weapon involved is licensed. This matter is entirely unrelated to the Hon'ble Prime Minister's visit to Mumbai today," news agency PTI quoted a senior police officer as saying.

"At every nook and corner, you will find people who will try to mislead you through 'Jooth Ki Goonj', but today's youth will stand with the truth," the PM said.
