Vaidika Thapa is currently working as a Sub Editor at The Daily Jagran, where she covers politics, international affairs, and major current events. With nearly 3 years of experience in journalism, she is known for working efficiently in fast-paced newsroom environments and delivering timely and accurate news coverage. She is based in Noida.
Previously, Vaidika worked with Asian News International (ANI), where she was closely associated with the assignment desk. In this role, she monitored live news feeds and was responsible for sending breaking news alerts and updates to television and digital platforms. She also worked at News24, where she wrote articles on a range of national and international topics.
Her reporting includes coverage of major political events such as the Lok Sabha elections, Delhi elections, Bihar elections, and several other state elections. She has also written about key international developments, including Middle East tensions, Russia-Ukraine tensions, and US elections. Many of her stories have gained strong digital traction and have appeared on Google Discover. She has conducted interviews for special stories, including conversations with theatre veteran Salim Arif and Dr. Rohit Baluja, President of IRTE.
She holds a BA (Hons.) in English from Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi, and a PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from India Today Media Institute (ITMI). She is fluent in Hindi, English, and Nepali.
Beyond her journalistic career, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, cafe hopping, exploring different cuisines, and spending time alone.
