Tu Yaa Main OTT Release Confirmed; Was Shanaya Kapoor And Adarsh Gourav’s Film A Box Office Hit Or Miss?

Tu Yaa Main starred Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav as social media influencers whose love trip took a tragic turn when they ended up stranded in a swimming pool with a crocodile. The survival thriller, which was directed by Bejoy Nambiar, debuted in theaters on February 13. The movie didn't do well at the box office and got mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. Tu Yaa Main has now confirmed its OTT release and platform.

Tu Yaa Main will debut on Netflix on April 10, confirmed the OTT platform. "Love can be eye-opening, Watch Tu Yaa Main, out 10 April, on Netflix."

Tu Yaa Main, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, is a remake of the 2018 Thai horror film The Pool, which was written by Abhishek Arun Bandekar and adapted by Himanshu Sharma.

About Tu Yaa Main

Tu Yaa Main narrated the tale of Maruti, also known as Aala Flowpara from Nalasopara, a promising rapper, and Avani, a well-known social media content creator with millions of followers. Sparks fly when the two meet. She found solace in his modest, grounded world, while he was drawn to her ostentatious existence. However, they got stuck while traving to Goa and seek safety in a motel, after which things went visibly horrifying.

Tu Yaa Main's original concept—a genre-bending blend of romance and creature thriller that throws a man, a woman, and a beast against one another—became a talking point.

Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection

Tu Yaa Main opened to Rs 60 lakh at the box office, majorly due to clash with O’Romeo. According to Sacnilk, the movie made Rs 8.47 crore globally (including Rs 8.47 crore in India) and Rs 7.31 crore in net collections from 17,298 screenings.

The film reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 20 crore turned out to be a losing affair at the box office. 

Shanaya last appeared with Vikrant Massey in Santosh Singh's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. She made her acting debut in the movie. Adarsh last appeared with Vineet Kumar Singh and Shashank Arora in Reema Kagti's Superboys of Malegaon.
