Salman Khan, currently busy shooting Maatrubhumi, recently announced a new film with producer Dil Raju, to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara. Soon after, Salman extended support to Rajpal Yadav following backlash over a remark about his financial case at an award show. Backing his decades-long contribution to cinema, Salman’s gesture drew praise and reports now suggest Rajpal has been roped in for the upcoming film.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan has signed Rajpal Yadav for a key role in his next movie. The portal cited a source saying, "Salman Khan has cast Rajpal Yadav to play a key role in this action-packed entertainer. Rajpal will be playing Salman Khan’s right hand in the film and will share a strong dynamic bond throughout the story."

"It’s one of the most important characters, and the casting has happened on merit. Salman is very fond of Rajpal and feels that he fits the bill to the T for his particular part," the source further added.

Reports suggest that Rajpal Yadav will begin shooting for the untitled film in May and is excited to reunite with Salman Khan. The duo has previously delivered memorable performances together in cult favorites like Partner and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and in this film too, Rajpal is expected to shine in a unique, comic role.

While an official announcement is still awaited, Salman recently shared an update on social media, writing, “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April with @directorvamshi and #DilRaju.” The film, backed by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is reportedly set to go on floors on April 18.
