A new Kdrama, titled Teach You a Lesson, is all set to premiere online. Starring Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo and Pyo Ji-hoon in lead roles, the upcoming Kdrama has been written by Lee Nam-kyu and Kim Da-hee, Moon Jong-ho, directed by Hong Jong-chan. Teach You A Lesson will start streaming on Netflix from June 5, 2026 in India. The Kdrama consists of 10 episodes and all of them will be out on the same date.
What is the plot of Teach You A Lesson?
Based on the Naver webtoon Get Schooled by Chae Yong-taek and Han Ga-ram, the series follows an official from the Educational Rights Protection Agency (ERPA) who is authorised by the government to use physical intervention and unconventional methods to discipline delinquent students and reform the educational system.

In November 2024, Kim Nam-gil was reportedly in talks to lead a new series. However, his fanbase strongly opposed the move, citing the original webtoon's controversial themes, including racism, sexism and the promotion of corporal punishment. Kim addressed the backlash on Instagram on November 8, clarifying that he had not yet reviewed or accepted the role. He stated that his current focus was entirely on filming The Fiery Priest 2.

Later that month, Kim Mu-yeol was officially cast in the lead role. He cited his trust in director Hong, following their previous collaboration on the 2022 legal drama Juvenile Justice. By January 2025, Jin Ki-joo, Pyo Ji-hoon, and Lee Sung-min joined the main cast. Netflix officially confirmed all four lead actors by March 2025.
