Good news for fans of Stranger Things—an animated spin-off titled Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 is set to arrive soon on Netflix. Featuring familiar characters like Eleven and Mike, the series promises a thrilling return to Hawkins and the Upside Down. Narratively, the animated spin-off is set within the timeline of the second and third seasons of the original Stranger Things, expanding on key events from that period.

Stranger Things: Tales from '85 OTT Release

Stranger Things: Tales from '85, developed by Eric Robles in collaboration with Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, is scheduled to premiere soon. on Netflix on April 23. The series comprises 10 episodes, each with an approximate runtime of 25 minutes, and will be released simultaneously on the platform.

Stranger Things: Tales from '85 features a fresh voice cast bringing back fan-favourite characters, including Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Max, Jim Hopper and Steve Harrington. The series also introduces a new character, Nikki Baster, voiced by Odessa A’zion. Portrayed as a skilled “tinker,” she is an adult ally who assists the group with her mechanical expertise and stands out with her distinctive short pink hairstyle.

Stranger Things: Tales from '85 is set in Hawkins during the winter of 1985, where the original gang reunites to face new supernatural threats and uncover a fresh paranormal mystery. As the Upside Down begins to seep back into the town, familiar locations like Hawkins National Laboratory return, along with eerie new creatures, including vine-like monsters and unusual zombie-like figures.

The series is positioned as an 'epic' animated expansion of the Stranger Things universe, blending nostalgia with horror.
