Asha Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest on April 11 and has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where she is currently receiving treatment in the emergency unit. Sources indicate that her condition remains critical, while no official statement has been issued by her family or hospital authorities so far, according to a report in Lokmat Times.
Asha Bhosle is regarded as one of the most celebrated and versatile voices in Indian music, with a remarkable career spanning over seven decades and thousands of songs across languages and genres. She is especially known for her iconic collaborations with R. D. Burman, which produced several timeless classics. Honoured with prestigious awards like the Padma Vibhushan, she remains one of the most influential figures in the history of Indian music.
