Pritam and Pedro, the upcoming JioHotstar series, marks acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s debut in the OTT space. The show has created buzz as it introduces his son, Vir Hirani, in his first lead acting role. Also starring Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey, the series blends cyber crime, suspense and comedy. Its recently released trailer offers a glimpse into an unlikely partnership that drives the story forward.

The story follows Pedro, a police officer played by Arshad Warsi, who is transferred to the cyber cell as punishment. During an important investigation, he is forced to work with Pritam, a talented hacker portrayed by Vir Hirani.
The unlikely duo joins hands to rescue a minister’s son from a dangerous cybercriminal. Vikrant Massey plays the antagonist, creating a high-stakes battle in the digital world.

Pritam and Pedro marks Rajkumar Hirani’s son Vir Hirani’s first major acting project. Interestingly, he had a brief appearance as Circuit’s son in the final moments of Munnabhai MBBS, but this is his first full-fledged lead role.
His casting has drawn attention, as audiences are eager to see the son of one of Bollywood’s most successful directors carve his own path in the industry.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Rajkumar Hirani said the story attracted him because of the unique relationship between the two central characters. Despite coming from different backgrounds and having contrasting personalities, Pritam and Pedro are brought together by circumstances and develop an unexpected bond during their mission.
Pritam And Pedro Release Date And Other Details
The series is based on Amit Dubey’s books Hidden Files and Return of the Trojan Horse. Apart from the lead cast, it also stars Mona Singh, Satyadeep Mishra, Shruti Marathe, Rajesh Sharma and Boman Irani. Pritam and Pedro will premiere on JioHotstar on July 3, 2026.
