The iconic Tamil classic Moondram Pirai, starring National Award winners Kamal Haasan and Sridevi, is finally set to make its long-awaited digital debut. Originally released over four decades ago, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 1, 2026, marking a significant moment for fans who have cherished the film for generations.
The production banner Sathya Jyothi Films confirmed that a digitally remastered version of the film will be available in Tamil, bringing its timeless storytelling to a new audience.
The announcement was made via social media, where the studio shared its excitement about the film’s first-ever digital release after 44 years. The news sparked a wave of nostalgia and enthusiasm among fans, many of whom expressed their eagerness to revisit the classic or experience it for the first time.
