Swara Bhasker has spoken out against the unrealistic expectations and body-shaming women face after childbirth, especially in the public eye. Reflecting on her postpartum journey after welcoming her daughter Raabiya in 2023, the Veere Di Wedding actor shared a throwback photo that attracted distasteful comments and she called out the scrutiny by posting a troll’s message on Instagram.

On May 1, Swara posted a screenshot of one such message on her Instagram stories and wrote, "Kaha se kaha tak aa gayi ho tum, you were such a great actor…don’t know why???" The text overlay on the story read, "Love the zero self awareness of people when they type messages like this."

Swara called out the trolls and noted, "This is a hill I will repeatedly die on! The kind of rage and anger I’ve encountered in the last few years because my body has changed after childbirth and because I refuse to lose the weight on the timeline of strangers on the internet..is bizarre!"

Her message was clear: women’s bodies shouldn’t be judged by unrealistic beauty standards or objectified for appearance. She explained how life changes deeply after becoming a parent, with no going back to what once was. Instead of focusing on weight loss, she chose to embrace motherhood and be fully present for her child.
