Gracy Singh was one of Bollywood's renowned actresses. She became a household name following her role in Lagaan and worked with actors such as Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan. Although the film Lagaan (starring Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh) was released in 2001 and nominated for an Oscar, Gracy gradually faded from the industry.
Gracy began her career as a dancer and toured with The Planets dance group. She entered the world of acting in 1997 with the television serial Amanat. She gained immense fame after working in the acclaimed sports drama film Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India.
Ashutosh Gowariker wrote and directed this film, while Aamir Khan produced it. Gracy won everyone's hearts in 'Lagaan' with her simplicity and innocence. The film was a massive hit and became the third Indian film—after 'Mother India' and 'Salaam Bombay!'—to be nominated for an Academy Award in the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category.

Subsequently, Gracy Singh delivered superhit films like 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.' and 'Gangaajal'. She received immense love from the audience for her brilliant acting. However, despite her success, she left Bollywood.
Gracy worked alongside Anil Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in the film Armaan, which turned out to be a flop. She later appeared in films such as Chanchal, Deshdrohi and Dekh Bhai Dekh, none of which impressed the audience or succeeded at the box office.
Gracy has openly stated that acting was never the ultimate goal of her life, nor did she ever aspire to become a big Bollywood star. In 2015, she made a comeback to television with 'Santoshi Maa', playing the titular goddess and winning the hearts of a new generation of viewers.
What does Gracy do now?
Over time, Gracy became deeply associated with the spiritual organization 'Brahma Kumaris' and has often spoken about finding fulfillment beyond acting and fame. At the age of 45, Gracy remains single.
