Television show Mahadev and Sons has landed in controversy after a recent episode sparked strong reactions from viewers on social media. The show, featuring Shakti Anand, Garvita Sadhwani, and Sneha Wagh, came under criticism for a scene involving physical abuse between two lead characters. Many viewers expressed concern over the way the sequence was portrayed, accusing the makers of presenting a troubling situation in a romanticized manner.

Mahadev And Sons Controversial Scene Triggers Debate On Social Media

The backlash began after an episode showed Dheeraj, played by Aasim Khan, behaving aggressively toward Rajji, portrayed by Garvita Sadhwani. The sequence featured several moments of physical violence that left many viewers disturbed.

According to audience reactions, Dheeraj was shown slapping Rajji, pushing her, and physically intimidating her during an argument. The scene escalated further when Rajji accidentally touched a hot iron and suffered an injury. Throughout the sequence, Dheeraj expressed anger and rejection toward her.

Soon after the episode aired, clips and screenshots began circulating on X (formerly Twitter), where many users criticized the show's portrayal of the incident.

One viewer wrote, “They’re romanticising abuse. He slapped her, pushed her around and then hurt her again. This should not be shown as romance.”

Another user commented, “I can't believe what I watched. The scene was disturbing and unacceptable. Such behaviour should never be normalized on television.”

Several viewers also questioned how a character previously shown as protective could suddenly be involved in such actions.
