C Joseph Vijay took the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in a ceremony on Sunday, attended by his family and Trisha Krishnan. Wearing a blue saree, the actor, who is rumoured to be dating Thalapathy Vijay, arrived at the event. Trisha was seen getting emotional during his oath-taking ceremony, a moment that has since gone viral on social media.

Trisha Krishnan was seen crying as Vijay gave his speech in a video posted on X (earlier Twitter) by one of his fans. Her eyes began to well up with tears, but she kept smiling.

 

 

Earlier, Trisha was spotted briefly engaging with the media as she arrived at the location in a stunning traditional look. She grinned and said, "Yes, thank you, looking forward" when a media personnel remarked 'big day for Tamil Nadu'. Her mother, Uma Krishnan, was beside her, and neither of them entertained any more questions.

Thalapathy Vijay's First Address As Tamil Nadu CM

Thalapathy Vijay thanked the people of Tamil Nadu and called for a 'new era' of administration in his first speech as chief minister.

The actor-turned-politician said, "Come, let all of us together give Tamil Nadu a fresh new government. This is a new beginning, the start of a new era of secular, social justice. I am not some divine messenger or prophet. I am just an ordinary human being living a normal life. I will never deceive you with false promises. I will only promise what is possible."

Trisha And Vijay Relationship Rumours

With roles in movies like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008), Trisha and Vijay became a well-known Kollywood duo. Following a long gap, the rumoured couple collaborated in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo (2023), where they played on-screen husband and wife. Trisha also appeared in a special number called Matta, which was a reference to their popular song from Ghilli in Venkat Prabhu's The GOAT (2024), led by Thalapathy Vijay.

Trisha's alleged romance with Vijay has often made headlines. In February, it was revealed that Sangeeta, Vijay's wife, had filed for divorce and accused him of having an affair with an unidentified actress. Soon after, in March, Vijay and Trisha attended a wedding in Chennai in matching outfits. 

However, neither Trisha nor Vijay has publicly acknowledged their relationship.
