Earlier on Sunday, Trisha had spoken to the media after reaching the swearing-in ceremony in Chennai. The actress said its a proud and important day for Tamil Nadu and added that she had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Trisha attended the event with her mother Uma Krishnan. During the ceremony, she was also seen greeting Vijay’s mother and other family members warmly.
