Amid the ongoing buzz, Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa came out in support of Raghav, which drew attention with her response to his latest post.
AAP Removes Raghav Chadha From Important Post
In a surprising move, the Aam Aadmi Party has replaced Raghav Chadha with Ashok Mittal as the new deputy leader of the Rajya Sabha. While party leaders have cited it as an internal restructuring, it has since become a topic of controversy, with many politicians asking for the reason behind the sudden change.
Raghav Chadha Shares Video Message, Sonam Bajwa Shows Support
After his removal, Raghav Chadha shared an Instagram reel highlighting his work in Parliament. The video showed him raising key issues, including public sector banks, disability pension tax, fair wages and Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh. He captioned it with just an Indian flag emoji, giving a subtle message.

Actress Sonam Bajwa reacted to the post by dropping clap emojis in the comments, showing her support. Raghav Chadha’s sister-in- law and global icon Priyanka Chopra also responded with heart and applause emojis. Notably, Chadha is married to Parineeti Chopra, who is Priyanka’s cousin.

Chadha Responds To Allegations
Chadha even addressed the accusation of neglecting matters pertaining to Punjab. He firmly denied the charge and stated that “Punjab is my duty, my soil, and soul”.
He further mentioned in another video, “Since yesterday, a scripted campaign has been launched against me….the same words, the same charges. This is not a coincidence. It’s an attempt to attack.” He said that he was responding since repetitive attacks might mislead the people.

Although AAP had stated that it was an organizational decision, BJP claimed that distancing himself from the party could be one reason for the decision.
