Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya first met on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which began in 2013. Divyanka played the lead role of Ishita Bhalla, while Vivek portrayed Inspector Abhishek Singh, a close friend of Ishita and her husband, Raman Bhalla.
