Sara Arjun successfully transitioned from being a celebrated child artist to a leading actress with her role in Dhurandhar. The actress portrayed the role of Yalina Jamali in the spy thriller movie directed by Aditya Dhar. She was paired opposite Ranveer Singh and gained significant acclaim for her phenomenal acting. As the buzz around Dhurandhar 2 is intensifying, Sara gave a glimpse into what to expect and highlighted the similarities between her and her character Yalina.

Sara Arjun opened up about the sequel of Dhurandhar, the high expectations of the audience and how her part in the movie is 'a lot more of everything'. In a conversation with NDTV, Sara said, "The audiences have high expectations already after part one, but you can just expect a lot more of everything that you loved already in part one, be it action, be it the story, everything. Sara Arjun, who portrayed the role of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali’s daughter, Yalina Jamali, also opened up about her character in the movie and said, "I really like how she just thinks with her heart. This is a girl who is very strong and at the same time, she is so smitten and she is following her heart. Talking about her role in the sequel, she said, "The actual scope of my character is in part two mostly, we had a lot of discussion initially before starting on."

Talking about the similarities Sara has with Yalina, she added, "In general, Yalina is a bit similar to who I am. So, I held on to those."

Sara Arjun’s Acting Career

Sara Arjun began her acting career as a toddler and appeared in over 100 commercials before the age of 6. She made her acting debut as a child artist in 2011, with the movie 404 Error Not Found. Her breakthrough came in the same year with the movie Deiva Thirumagal.

Bollywood movies like Ek Thi Daayan, Jai ho and others helped her establish a strong name in the industry. In 2022, Sara appeared in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 and 2, in which she portrayed the role of the younger version of Aishwarya Rai's role, Nandini.

In 2025, she made her leading lady debut opposite Ranveer Singh in the movie Dhurandhar. She is currently gearing up for her role in the movie's sequel, which is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026.
