Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal in the Ramayana's Rama teaser is generating a lot of discussion everywhere, with many people complimenting the acting while criticising the visual effects. Amidst this, the actor has confirmed his double role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. He will make a brief appearance as Parshurama, Vishnu's previous avatar, in addition to his main role as Lord Rama.
Ranbir Kapoor talked to Collider during the recent teaser launch in Los Angeles on how he used his voice and body language to portray both Rama and Parshurama because the roles had different personalities. He said, "Lord Vishnu had different avatars. Lord Rama was an avatar, and Lord Parshurama was an avatar before Lord Rama."
Ranbir Kapoor shared, "Just to get the opportunity, you know, how I got to play Lord Rama, to also play Lord Parshurama was fantastic. I think as an actor, apart from body language, I think if you deeply understand the spirituality and the emotionality of the characters, I think everything starts from there. I think that’s what I did the year leading up to the shoot of Ramayana, to understand who these people and characters are, what they stand for and what their motives are."

Lord Pashuram In Ramayana Teaser?
Ranbir Kapoor might be seen grabbing an axe-like weapon in a teaser. The scene, according to many, showed Lord Rama confronting Lord Parshuram. At that moment, he became enraged and hurled his axe at Lord Rama. Nevertheless, the video does not depict the latter. The Ramayana by Valmiki mentioned this episode. For the uninitiated, it was a unique axe that Lord Shiva gave to Parshuram during a period of hard penance.
Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi will be portrayed as Goddess Sita. In this film, Yash, star of KGF, will play Ravana. Hanuman and Lakshman will be portrayed by Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey, respectively. Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan are among the other actors in the movie.
This Diwali, Ramayana Part I will be released in theaters; the second chapter will be released on Diwali in 2027.
