Sara Ali Khan And Ayushmann Khurrana Team Up For Udta Teer; Release Date Announced

Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana have come on board for the upcoming spy comedy Udta Teer, which is expected to release on September 11. The film is written and directed by Akash A Kaushik and backed by a strong production team including Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain.

While details about the plot remain under wraps, the collaboration has already generated curiosity among fans. In addition to this project, Sara and Ayushmann are also set to share screen space in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, which features Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles.

The sequel is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra. Initially scheduled for a Holi release on March 4, 2026, the film has now been postponed and is slated to hit theatres on May 15, 2026.

The release date was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X, where he wrote, "AYUSHMANN KHURRANA - SARA ALI KHAN IN SPY-COMEDY 'UDTA TEER' – 11 SEPT 2026 RELEASE. Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment reunite for their fourth collaboration – after #Kill, #GyaarahGyaarah, and #TheLunchbox – with #UdtaTeer. A high-energy spy comedy, #UdtaTeer stars #AyushmannKhurrana and #SaraAliKhan... The makers have also locked the release date: 11 Sept 2026."

The original Pati Patni Aur Woh released in 2019 and starred Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. A modern remake of the 1978 classic, the film also featured Aparshakti Khurrana in a supporting role and performed well at the box office.
