Namit Malhotra's Ramayana is one of the highly-anticipated movies of the year. In the upcoming film, Ranbir Kapoor will take on the role of Lord Ram and critics as well as netizens are looking forward for the same. Recently, makers unveiled actor's first look teaser of Ranbir as Lord Ram and it received mixed reactions from the audience. Now, Namit Malhotra, in his latest post, has made it clear that there is no better actor than actor Ranbir Kapoor to portray Lord Rama.

Congratulating the actor on being named among TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2026, Namit Malhotra took to X and wrote, "From watching our fathers share meals and laughter to now, four decades later, coming together to tell one of the greatest epics of all time… it’s been quite a journey. I have witnessed your journey closely. The highs, the setbacks, the quiet resilience, and the way you’ve stayed so grounded through it all, both on and off screen."

"There was never a doubt in my mind. There is no one better to portray Lord Rama. You are, without doubt, the finest actor of our generation. Being named among @TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 feels absolutely deserving. It’s great to see the world finally take notice of you and your talent. This is just the beginning, my friend. More power to you," he further added.

About Ramayana: Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the upcoming Ramayana is one of the most ambitious mythological films in recent years. The makers aim to present the epic on a global level with modern visuals and large-scale production.

The film Ramayana is planned as a two-part project and is produced by Namit Malhotra along with DNEG, a premier global visual effects (VFX) and animation studio. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, the cast includes Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laksham. Though the teaser is brief, its rich visuals and scale have already become a major talking point among audiences.
