Taare Zameen Par remains one of Bollywood’s most loved films, remembered for its emotional storytelling and powerful message on learning disabilities. While Darsheel Safary, who played Ishaan Awasthi, continues to explore opportunities in the entertainment industry, many fans have often wondered what happened to Sachet Seth (@sachetengineer), who portrayed Ishaan’s elder brother Yohaan Awasthi. Let's find out!
Sachet Seth portrayed the perfect older sibling as Yohaan Nandkishore Awasthi in Taare Zameen Par. Yohaan was everything Ishaan wasn't—brilliant academically, an expert table tennis player, and fiercely protective of his younger brother. He did well in school while Ishaan had trouble with letters and numbers.
Taare Zameen Par fans who recall him as Ishaan Awasthi's devoted older brother may be shocked to hear that he (Sachet Seth) is now a successful dentist in the UK and a prospective licensed pilot, almost twenty years later.

Sachet Seth On Taare Zameen Par
Sachet Seth stated that landing Taare Zameen Par was really a lucky coincidence in a 2022 interview with Bollywood Hungama.
"I am from a film family. My grandmother, Krishna Kumari Seth, was an actress while my grandfather, Suraj Prakash, was a producer. So I was always surrounded by the world of films, though I didn’t plan to get into the field. The makers were originally auditioning my younger brother. I just happened to be there and they asked me, 'Why don’t you also audition?' I did, and a month later, I got a call. I was 11 at that time," he shared.
Sachet Seth became instantly recognisable due to the film's enormous success. However, ge rejected all of the subsequent film offers. "People started recognising me on the streets. I would just smile. I’ve grown quite a bit, but still people are able to guess. Or they feel they’ve seen me somewhere. I did a couple of commercials later on. I got a few film offers but didn’t take them up because I wanted to pursue my education before I got sidetracked."
