Shanaya Kapoor and Rohan were seen offering prayers together in the viral videos from the intimate puja. The gathering quickly turned into a lively celebration as the Kapoor family joined in on the music and dancing. Sharing the photos on Instagram, Maheep Kapoor captioned them, "Shaadi begins #JaiMataDi #Anshula&Rohan," followed by several red hearts and evil eye emojis.

Anshula Kapoor's New York Proposal

Rohan proposed to Anshula Kapoor in July 2025. She shared photos of the romantic proposal on Instagram, revealing that on a typical Tuesday at 1:15 AM, they had connected via an app and started talking. They spoke until six in the morning, she said, and even then, it felt like the beginning of something big. She added that three years later, at precisely 1:15 AM India time, he proposed to her in her favourite city.

Anshula Kapoor said, "Just the quiet kind of love that feels like home. I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales.. but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better. Because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us. I said yes. Through tears, laughter, and a happiness I can’t fully express. Because since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person. Fav boy, fav city… and now, my fav YES (sic)."

For those who are unaware, Anshula Kapoor is the daughter of Mona Shourie Kapoor, the late ex-wife of producer Boney Kapoor. She is the younger sister of actor Arjun Kapoor. Janhvi and Khushi, the daughters of Boney's late wife, actress Sridevi, are half-sisters of the bride-to-be.
