The Grammy Award-winning electronic music duo, comprising Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, is set to make a highly anticipated return to India this December. The organizers announced on Wednesday that The Chainsmokers will perform across three major cities, stopping in Mumbai on December 18, Delhi on December 19, and Bengaluru on December 20.

A major highlight of the tour will see the duo headlining the Mumbai edition of the Sunburn Festival 2026. This performance will take place at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, marking the first time the iconic venue will host the prestigious music festival. Known for global chart-topping hits like Paris and Something Just Like This, this tour marks their first time back on an Indian stage since their last performance in the country in 2023.

Reflecting on the duo's massive impact, Karan Singh, CEO of Sunburn, highlighted how deeply intertwined their music has been with the lives of young Indian listeners over the past ten years. He noted that for local millennials and Gen Z, The Chainsmokers' songs have defined core moments of youth culture.

Singh emphasized that the organizers fully grasp the immense emotional excitement fans feel about seeing them live again, particularly in a global climate where nostalgia and shared cultural experiences heavily drive fan communities.

Formed in 2012, The Chainsmokers achieved global fame through a series of massive crossover dance-pop hits. They have sold over 118 million records worldwide, a catalog highlighted by three Diamond-certified singles: Closer, Something Just Like This and the Grammy-winning track Don't Let Me Down.

The duo has remained highly prolific with their recent music releases. They dropped their EP No Hard Feelings in 2024, followed by Breathe in 2025. Earlier this year, they unveiled Love is Kind, a collaborative EP featuring singer-songwriter Oaks (Winona Oak).

Beyond their musical achievements, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall are active technology investors. In 2020, they co-founded Mantis Venture Capital, an early-stage investment firm through which they manage their tech portfolios.
