Gippy Grewal, who will soon be seen in Carry on Jatta 4, has been heavily promoting the movie, one of the few Punjabi franchises with a fourth feature. In a new interview, the Punjabi singer-actor recalled the days he worked several jobs to support himself and his wife in Canada. He claimed that he is from a farmer family and that he had to take out a loan to make his debut record, which flopped. Gippy tried for the third time after his second attempt failed as well.
Gippy Grewal talked about taking on several odd jobs to make ends meet in Canada in an interview with Bharti TV. The singer-actor revealed that things changed after marriage. He noted that one song from the third album picked up. It was popular even in Canada and played everywhere, but nobody was aware that it was his.
Gippy Grewal claimed that despite the song's popularity, he worked as a security guard because his singing career was not enough to make a living.
Gippy Grewal Cleaned Toilets In Canada
Gippy Grewal revealed that after working as a guard till four in the morning, he would pick up his wife from their house and spend two hours distributing newspapers. He revealed that they were employed as cleaners at a mall, where he would sweep the area and his wife would tidy the food court trays. "I had to do everything. I had to clean the toilets also."

He said, "In other jobs, I would make 8 dollars, but in the mall cleaning job, I would get almost 13 dollars.
Gippy Grewal explained that although it might seem like he was doing something amazing back in India, it was simply something they had to do in order to live comfortably. "Like with the newspapers, my wife and I would think that this is our time together. So we would keep talking the whole time and get done with that job in two hours. But that mall had a fixed time period and the security work demanded more hours."
For those who don't know, Gippy Grewal married Ranvneet Kaur in 2007. They have three children - Ekom Grewal, Shinda Grewal, and Gurbaaz Grewal.

Carry On Jatta 4 is slated to open in theatres across the globe on June 26.. Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta and Binnu Dhillon star in the much-awaited Punjabi comedy, which is directed by Smeep Kang and includes a heartfelt tribute to the late legendary actor Jaswinder Bhalla.
Gippy Grewal became one of the top Punjabi singers of the 2000s and 2010s thanks to singles like Phulkari and Angreji Beat. Following his breakthrough in the music business, he made a smooth transition into the film industry and rose to prominence in Punjabi cinema. After making his acting debut in Mel Karade Rabba, he went on to star in major motion pictures including Carry On Jatta, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, Manje Bistre, and Ardaas.
