Vijay Thalapathy's last unreleased movie Jana Nayagan has been garnering attention for several reasons. Amid back to back postponements, a few meanings of a clip from the film has circulated online, sparking widespread concern. However, makers have ordered a strict action against further circulation of clips. Actor Sivakarthikeyan has reacted to the incident by sharing a strong message on social media.

In a statement, Sivakarthikeyan wrote on X, "Every film is made with the passion, blood, and sweat of hundreds of people - please avoid piracy. Kindly wait for the theatrical release and watch it in theatres. Whoever is responsible for this must face strict action. Respect the talents. Respect the hard work. Respect the industry."

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, several film personalities condemned the Jana Nayagan leak, with Dhananjayan Govind calling it devastating and actors Sibiraj and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj urging fans not to share pirated clips. Director H. Vinoth also expressed concern, while the makers issued a legal warning against circulating the leaked footage.

About Jana Nayagan: Jana Nayagan (transl. People’s Hero) is an upcoming Tamil-language political action thriller directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. The film stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju, with supporting roles by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani. It is a remake of the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari and is expected to be Vijay’s final film before entering politics, marking KVN Productions’ first Tamil venture.

The project was initially announced in September 2024 as Thalapathy 69, denoting Vijay’s 69th film as a lead actor, before its official title was revealed in January 2025. Filming began in October 2024 in Chennai, followed by multiple schedules in Payanoor, and was completed by August 2025. The film features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.Originally slated for release on January 9, 2026, the film has been indefinitely delayed due to issues with the CBFC.
