Vivek Sinha, who played hijacker Zahoor Mistry in Dhurandhar, recently addressed rumours about his fee for the film. The actor clarified that while he was paid a respectable amount, it was nowhere close to Rs 1 crore. Taking to Instagram, Sinha shared a video dismissing claims that he earned Rs 60 lakh, Rs 80 lakh, or Rs 1 crore for the project. Thanking fans for the love coming his way after the Ranveer Singh-starrer, he said such figures being circulated online are untrue.
He said in the video, “Bhai, itna paisa nahi mila hai, kasamse. Yeh sab mat dalo,” urging people not to spread misinformation. Sinha also mentioned that these reports led many to message him asking for financial help. The actor concluded by saying he did receive good money from the film, but not the exaggerated amounts being claimed online.
He further added, "Jo expected the amount tha woh mila. Lekin utna paisa nahi mila, aur joh paisa mila tha khatam ho chuka hai. Mumbai mein rehta hoon bhai, aur bahot kharche hai Mumbai mein. Toh Dhurandhar wala saara paisa khatam ho chuka hai (I got paid for Dhurandhar, and it was a good amount. I received what I was expecting. But it wasn’t that much, and whatever money I did get has already been spent. I live in Mumbai, brother, and expenses here are very high. So all the money from Dhurandhar is now gone)."
