Dhurandhar also starred Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in the key parts. The movie, which has been positioned as a gritty spy thriller, is currently trying to profit from its international expansion, with Japan emerging as a crucial market in its objectives.

The action drama Dhurandhar centred on an Indian spy in Pakistan who went undercover to disrupt Lyari's network of terror, crime, and gangsters. Ranveer Singh played a RAW agent who infiltrated Karachi's underbelly to destroy a terror network in this two-part, intense spy thriller. The movie was inspired by real-life events like the 26/11 Mumbai attack and the IC 814 Kandahar hijack.

For those who are unaware, the second portion of the movie, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, debuted in theatres on March 19, 2026, and has already made over Rs 1000 crore in India.
