House Of The Dragon Season 3 Episode 1 Twitter Review: The third season of House of the Dragon will finally take viewers back to Westeros after a two-year hiatus. The much-awaited new instalment of the popular fantasy series will immerse viewers in the horrific and bloody Targaryen civil war. On June 22, 2026, the first episode, Battle Of The Gullet, debuted in India and was well-received.

The eagerly anticipated third season of House of the Dragon received fantastic feedback from the audience. With Episode 1 being hailed as one of the best season premieres based on George RR Martin's Fire & Blood, the new season is off to a promising start.

Another user wrote, "I’ve just finished watching Episode 1 of House of the Dragon Season 3 and wow, everything was perfect. The Battle of the Gullet was absolute cinema. Every character absolutely delivered. The only scene that made me uncomfortable was that Aemond and Alicent kiss."

While many couldn't get over the war scenes from the premiere episode, others expressed excitement for the next episode. Many were shocked by the kissing scene between Aemond and his mom. A user wrote, "AEMOND JUST KISSED HIS MOM ALICENT?! I had to rewind three times because there’s no way my eyes just witnessed that. House of the Dragon keeps finding new ways to leave me absolutely speechless."

A user gave 9/10 to the first episode of House of the Dragon. "What madness did I just watch?!!! Pure epicness, intensity, and complete shock, this is House of the Dragon at its absolute best!!! An excellent first episode, the Battle of the Gullet was legendary, one of the best battles in the series. The ending left me shattered, it's incredible what happened."

 

Another user stated the third season kicked off with no mercy. It felt like the finale to the second season, according to him. 

"HOUSE OF THE DRAGON kicks off its new season without respite and without mercy, delivering almost immediately a battle on a scale we've rarely seen in television history and with the shock factor that has characterised the franchise since its inception. It definitely feels more like the finale we never got for the second season, but Ryan Condal makes sure the return doesn't feel abrupt.
