ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is all set to kick off on Saturday, February 7, and it will be played in India and Sri Lanka. A total of 20 teams are participating in the 10th edition in marquee tournament, which will run till March 8. India will be heading into the tournament as the defending champions, having lifted their second title in 2024 with a victory over South Africa in the final.

Just before the action commences on the first day of the tournament with three fixtures lined up, an exciting opening ceremony is set to take place at Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium. On the first day of the tournament, the hosts India will be in action as they face the USA in their group A match at the same venue. Earlier in the day, Pakistan will be up against the Netherlands in Colombo. On the other hand, the West Indies are scheduled to meet Scotland at the Eden Gadens.

Starting in evening, the opening ceremony will transform the stadium into a single, immersive stage, combining live music and large-scale choreography, followed by the arrival of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Trophy.

When will T20 World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony Start?

With the T20 WC 2026 opening ceremony kicking off at 6 PM IST, ICC Chairman Jay Shah and defending champions' captain Rohit Sharma, who steered India to victory in 2024, will welcome the trophy alongside 20 young representatives from all participating nations, officially launching the tournament.

The excitement reaches an extreme level with Badshah setting the syage on fire with his incredible singing performance, followed by Nora Fatehi's explosive dance routine backed by a massive dance ensemble.

Notably, only ticket holders for the match will be able to attend the Opening Ceremony.
