A video of Indian tourists performing garba on an airport tarmac in Vietnam has gone viral on social media. The clip has sparked a mix of humour, admiration, and criticism online, with many questioning the behaviour near a parked aircraft in a restricted airport area.

Tourists Perform Garba On Airport Tarmac

The video shared on X by a user, shows a group of Indian travellers dancing in a circle and performing traditional garba steps near a VietJet Air aircraft. This reportedly happened on the airport tarmac either just before boarding or after landing. Passengers nearby can be seen watching the group, while others continue walking. The open celebration in a controlled airport zone surprised many viewers online.

Video Sparks Debate Online

The video is widely circulated across social media platforms and has become a talking point. Some users found it funny and said it was “so Indian,” while others have questioned how such activity was allowed in the airport area. AI-generated memes have also appeared online, showing people doing garba on Mars, adding to the humour around the clip. Users criticising the act argue that it was inappropriate and could create a negative image of Indian travellers.

A user commented, “Someone teach them how to behave at the airport.” Another user wrote, “Absolute nonsense and zero civic sense. @MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar before its too late Its time you make a policy to undo the deteriorating image these people have created globally for us. They will go back to India after vacations but Indians living outside have to face the brunt.”

Netizens Split Over Video

A third user added, “When will people realise that when you share a public space you mustn't do anything disruptive, dance as much as you want in your house or rent a space, this assumption that people sharing the same space as you want to be a part of your shitfest shows arrogance.” Several users supported the act and wrote, “They are enjoying…what's your problem? Even a local joined them. But I agree that's not the place, but maybe they got bored of waiting and wanted a quick round of garbha before they board.”

The video raised concerns as airport tarmacs are highly restricted areas where safety and security rules are strict.
