US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran is “not final.” Speaking at the G7 summit in France, he warned that the US would resume military action if he is unhappy with how the deal unfolds.
Trump warns of bombing Iran
While addressing reporters alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Trump described the agreement between the US and Iran as a memorandum of understanding, adding, "It's a memorandum of understanding. And if I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their heads," Trump said.

He further warned, "If I don't like it, if they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their heads." However, he also said the US-Iran framework deal is "very strong." Trump emphasised that financial markets have reacted positively to the deal, pointing to rising stock markets and falling oil prices.
What did Trump say on USD 300 billion fund?
Trump denied that Washington would contribute to or organise a reported USD 300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran under the proposed MoU, calling such claims false. He added that the US has not requested Gulf countries to do so, although he said it would be acceptable if they chose to invest. "You can invest if you want. I mean, what am I gonna do? Say, nobody’s ever allowed to invest? No, we’re not investing, we’re not putting up 10 cents, and people can decide to do that, but that’s up to them," Trump said.
G7 welcomes US-Iran agreement
Meanwhile, Leaders of the G7 have welcomed the US-Iran agreement, describing it as a historic opportunity to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and to address wider regional security concerns. In a joint statement issued at the summit in Evian-les-Bains, the G7 supported efforts to achieve a broader diplomatic settlement and backed an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, along with calls for Hezbollah’s disarmament and an end to violence in the West Bank.
