Amid a fragile ceasefire and repeated warnings from United States President Donald Trump, Iran is gearing up to vote on a bill offering rewards for anyone who assassinates Trump or Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The report comes after Iran's state-sponsored cyberwarfare group "Handala" earlier issued a statement claiming it has allocated USD 50 million for the “elimination of the primary architects of oppression and corruption.”

USD 58 Million Bounty On Trump-Netanyahu

According to reports by The Telegraph UK and Iran Wire, Iran is considering placing a USD 58 million bounty on both the leaders. The Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, has reportedly announced that the body was preparing a bill titled "Reciprocal action by military and security forces of the Islamic Republic."

This bill would formalise payment of 50 million euros (approximately USD 58.23 million) to any individual or entity who would assassinate the US and Israeli leaders. Iran Wire reported that Azizi called for targetting Trump, Netanyahu, and US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper for their alleged roles in the assassination of former Supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

Another member of the national security commission, Mahmoud Nabavian, also stated that the country's parliament would soon vote on setting rewards for whoever "sends Trump and Netanyahu to hell". Meanwhile, Trump on Tuesday announced that he is delaying the planned military strikes against Iran that were expected today.

Trump said the decision was taken after requests from Gulf leaders, including the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump highlighted that “serious negotiations” are currently taking place. He expressed hope that a major agreement acceptable to the US and other countries could soon be reached. He also repeated that Iran would not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
