A video from the United States has gone viral on social media, showing an Indian couple allegedly facing a racist and unprovoked confrontation by a stranger. The clip has triggered outrage online and fresh discussion about racism and xenophobia faced by immigrants.

Indian Couple Faces Racist Attack

In the video, a man sitting inside a car asks the couple if they are from India. When the couple replies “yes,” he questions them about whether India is better than the US and why they are in the US if they prefer India. The husband then responds calmly, saying both countries have their own strengths. When he further explains that they are in the US to explore the world, the man reacts aggressively. He tells them to “go home” and uses abusive language.

The man is heard saying: “No, we don't want you here. You have to go home. Get the f*** out of my country.” Despite his aggressive behaviour, the couple remains composed throughout the exchange. The video has been shared by a user named Tone on X, with the caption: “I encountered some incredible H-1B Indians, and I had to let them know something!” However, the exact location of the incident has not been independently verified.

Netizens React To Viral Video

As the video went viral, it received mixed reactions online. While some users praised the couple for staying calm and handling the situation with dignity, others argued that immigrants should leave the country. A user wrote, “Beautiful, I enjoyed this, it's my guilty pleasure- this and dark chocolate, nothing else gives me so much dopamine as raw unfiltered racism.” Another user said, “Treat these Indian cockroaches as they deserve.”

A third user pointed out the hate comments and added, “Innocent people. If you have guts ask you senators to make a law to abolish h1b a let both parties support in the house and senate. You don’t get nothing to harasss them. They came legally and paying taxes. Why is the hate?”
