Trump Says US-Iran Talks Will Continue
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Iran had requested to continue talks and that the US had agreed. However, he made it clear that Washington considers the ceasefire between the two countries to be over. His statement comes after a devastating two-day wave of US airstrikes on Iran. "The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue “talks.” We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Qatari Delegation Visits Iran
Meanwhile, a Qatari delegation has arrived in Iran in what is believed to be an effort by Doha to strengthen its role as a mediator after the recent escalation in tensions in West Asia. According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, the visit comes after Qatar accused Iran over an alleged incident in the Strait of Hormuz and following recent US strikes on Iranian military and civilian targets.
According to Reuters report, a source familiar with the matter revealed that Qatari negotiators are holding meetings with Iranian officials to ease tensions and help create the groundwork for wider negotiations. The talks are reportedly being carried out in coordination with the US.
