Amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, fresh claims alleging China’s involvement in the conflict have emerged. The speculation started after reports of Chinese cargo aircraft secretly landing in Iran after going “dark” mid-flight surfaced online. The claims have drawn attention due to their timing as the crisis in West Asia remains unresolved.
4 Chinese Cargo Planes ‘Go Dark’ Mid-Air
According to posts shared on X by commentator Mario Nawfal, citing what was described as Mossad commentary, four Chinese cargo planes allegedly switched off their transponders mid-flight and landed in Iran within 48 hours. He added that this development comes after US President Donald Trump claimed that China has assured to not send weapons to Tehran.
He wrote, “4 Chinese cargo planes allegedly switched off their transponders and landed in Iran within the last 48 hours, reportedly carrying arms and ammunition. The flights went dark mid-route before entering Iranian airspace. This comes days after Xi reportedly assured Trump that China would not transfer weapons to Iran. Nothing confirmed yet on what was on board.”

China Denies Claims
Earlier, Beijing had firmly denied all such allegations of supplying arms to Iran. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that reports suggesting Beijing provided military or technical support to Iran are “purely fabricated.”
On Wednesday, Trump also confirmed that China had assured him that it would not supply weapons to Iran. He wrote on Truth Social, ““China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also - And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran. President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks. We are working together smartly, and very well! Doesn’t that beat fighting??? BUT REMEMBER, we are very good at fighting, if we have to - far better than anyone else.”
