India will be back in action across several disciplines on Day 2 of the Asian Games 2026, with athletes set to compete in shooting, wushu, swimming, table tennis, kabaddi, badminton, boxing, MMA, soft tennis and sepak takraw on Monday, September 21.
After a strong opening day, the Indian contingent will look to add more medals to its tally while several athletes begin their respective campaigns in Aichi-Nagoya.
The day will begin early for Indian fans, with action starting at 5:30 AM IST. Shooting will be among the major medal events on the schedule, while the Indian men's kabaddi team will face Japan in its Group A opener.

The women's and men's table tennis teams will also take on Pakistan in their respective group matches.
Wushu, Soft Tennis And Sepak Takraw Begin India’s Day
The first Indian athlete in action will be Nyeman Wangsu, who will compete in the women's Changquan final at 5:30 AM IST. At the same time, Aadhya Tiwari and Jay Meena will face Cambodia in the soft tennis mixed doubles Group B match.
Table Tennis And Swimming Action
India's women's table tennis team will face Pakistan in Group F at 6:15 AM, while the men's team will meet Pakistan later in the day at 3:30 PM.
Swimming will also see several Indian athletes in action during the morning session. Rishabh Das and Srihari Nataraj will compete in the men's 50m backstroke heats at 6:32 AM, followed by Akash Mani and Heer Gitesh Shah in the men's 50m freestyle heats at 6:46 AM and 6:50 AM respectively.
With medal events in shooting and wushu alongside crucial team contests in kabaddi, table tennis and badminton, September 21 promises another action-packed day for the Indian contingent at the Asian Games 2026.
