Samannay Sen

Samannay Sen is a sports journalist with a strong background in football content creation, reporting, and digital storytelling. A former sub-division-level footballer, he brings first-hand knowledge of the game to his writing, producing insightful coverage, match analysis, feature stories, and football-focused editorial content.

His experience spans some of India's leading sports and media organisations. Samannay has worked with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in media management roles, gaining valuable expertise in sports communications and event coverage. He has also served as a correspondent for the Asian Age and contributed as a media educator for NGOs.

In the digital sports media, Samannay worked as a Football Content Associate at Khel Now before becoming Sports Editor at Sportdunia. He currently serves as a Senior Sub Editor at The Daily Jagran, specialising in football journalism, sports news editing, content strategy, and audience-driven sports storytelling.

Beyond writing and editing, Samannay is passionate about videography, photography, and short-film production. He also hosts football podcasts on his Instagram platform, where he analyses clubs, players, managers, tactical trends, transfer developments, and major football events from around the world. When away from the newsroom, he enjoys playing sports and reading books.
