On the day of Parashurama Jayanti, devotees wake up early in the morning to take a holy bath and wear clean clothes. Observing a fast on this day holds special significance. During the worship, a lamp is lit before the idol of Lord Parashurama, and offerings of yellow flowers, sandalwood, and seasonal fruits are made to him. In many places, a ceremonial procession is organised on this day, and mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu are chanted. The worship is considered complete after listening to the sacred legends and making donations to the poor.
