They came here, offered prayers, and, miraculously, their visa was granted. Since then, the rumour spread that if a vow is made here, a visa stamp would definitely feature on the passport!

Unique Rules For Parikrama In This Temple

The biggest feature of Chilkur Balaji Temple is the parikrama rule. Here is a special way of worship:

- Sankalp: Devotees first perform parikrama around the temple 11 times and ask for their wishes (such as getting a visa).

- Thanksgiving: When the vow is fulfilled, devotees complete 108 parikramas to return and express their gratitude to God. That is why here you will always see people counting the circuit with paper and pen in hand.

- No Donation Containers: There is no ‘hundi’ or donation box here. The temple administration does not take money from devotees.
