As one of the host cities for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, Atlanta is gearing up for a vibrant season with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium at the epicentre of the excitement. However, beyond the countdown of the matches lies a vast city waiting to be explored. From green spaces to iconic attractions, luxury shopping to Southern food, art and culture to a vibrant nightlife, Atlanta is a city offering many experiences for those in-between-the-match hours.
1. Iconic Attractions
Start your journey through Atlanta with the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest in the world and home to over 100,000 animals of 500 different species, including whale sharks, that inhabit more than 8 million gallons of marine and freshwater. The next stop is World of Coca-Cola, where the famous soft drink’s story is told through fascinating exhibits, classic ads and an imaginative replica of the bottling process.
It features a multi-sensory 4-D theatre where viewers can join the “Search for the Secret Formula” and an opportunity to taste more than 100 beverages from all around the world.
